The Galactic Tour
Overview
The Galactic Tour is the single-player campaign, structured as a run rather than a fixed sequence of races. It spans three acts, and the events in it are randomised each time a tour is started, so two tours are not the same. [1]

Branching Paths
A tour presents branching paths, taken across a series of events on several worlds. Each route yields different rewards, applied to the speeder, so the route chosen is a build decision as much as a difficulty one. [1]
There is no turning back once an event is chosen. [4]
Fuse Games CEO Matt Webster describes the intent: [2]
We’ve drawn real inspiration from runs-based games so the player will have meaningful, consequential decisions on how they chose their path to become an elite racing pilot, from the vehicle they choose to start with, the upgrade choices they make to create a build that really suits their playstyle and what events they select in determining their path to become champion.
The League Entry Token
Competing requires a League Entry Token. It is revoked, ending the tour, on either of two conditions: [1]
- Crashing excessively
- Failing to finish in the top three in any event
Losing the token means returning to the qualification races to earn a new one. [1]
What Carries Over
A failed tour is not a full reset. Only certain perks and unlocks earned on previous attempts carry into the next run, Galactic Credits among them, so a run that ends early still leaves the next one better resourced. Everything else starts fresh. [1][4]
Webster on the design: “I wreck out, I go back to the start, but the things that I’m taking with me give me a more powerful start point.” He has described the aim as meaningful failure, which he argues racing games gave up when rewind became standard. [2]
The Paddock
Between races, pilots return to the paddock. Every planet has one, and rival pilots congregate there to share stories, throw down challenges and offer support. Each paddock holds Hibi’s workshop, where parts are fitted, either earned or bought from her, giving stat boosts and abilities. [4]
Between Races
Base stats are improved between races. The higher the finish, the more upgrades can be applied, so placing well compounds through a tour rather than only deciding an event. [1]
The tour ends at Derven Acos, a purpose-built arena combining every planetary condition met along the way into a single gauntlet. [4]
The stats and the boost systems they feed are covered on Gameplay.
