Repulsorcraft
Overview
Racing is built on repulsorcraft, the repulsorlift vehicles of the Star Wars setting, rather than a single vehicle type. Four classes have been confirmed, each with its own physics and playstyle. [1][2]
Handling, the Afterburner and Ramjet boost systems, and the stats that upgrade them are covered on Gameplay. [7][8]
Landspeeder

Real weight to it, specialising in drifting around corners. Trait: Drift. Game Director Bill Lane says landspeeders “need to drive like cars, mostly”. [1][7][8]
Speeder Bike

Great straight-line speed, harder to control in corners. Trait: Kinetic Burst. Hibi, the mechanic, describes them as “like concussion missiles with handlebars”. [1][7][8][10]
Skim Speeder

Made for hard banking turns, and the hardest frame to control. Trait: Knife Edge. [1][7]
The skim speeder is new to Star Wars, created for this game rather than adapted from existing material and developed jointly with Lucasfilm. It is the only one of the four classes without a prior appearance in the films or television. [4]
Fuse Games CEO Matt Webster describes it as handling “like aircraft”, and the reveal interview describes it rewarding “flowing lines and maintaining momentum, banking through corners and knife-edging through narrow gaps”. [3][8]
Fuse Games positions it as the balance between the other two speeder types: less agile than a speeder bike and less resilient than a landspeeder, but able to build up momentum to become the fastest speeder on the track. Its Knife Edge manoeuvre is what carries it through sharp corners. [11]
Podracer

Eight to ten metres long and reaching 1,000 km/h. No trait has been named. Bill Lane describes them as “essentially horse and chariot meets Formula 1”. [1][8]

Events are not restricted to one class throughout: mixed-class racing has been shown. [3]
Named Craft
Three craft are named so far, all of them Deluxe and Collector’s Edition content: [5]
| Craft | Class |
|---|---|
| Kor Sarun: Darc X | Landspeeder |
| Kor Sarun: Ciza T | Speeder bike |
| Kor Sarun: Rac S | Skim speeder |
Sebulba’s podracer also appears, carried over from The Phantom Menace. Webster calls podracers the pinnacle of the vehicle list. [3][8]
Racing and Damage
Racing is contact-based. Takedowns are part of the design, in keeping with the team’s Burnout background, and Secret Mode frames the risk directly: “The greater the risk, the greater the reward.” Tracks carry branching routes rather than a single racing line. [1][2]

Customisation and Upgrades
Craft are customised and upgraded rather than raced as fixed loadouts. Progress through the Galactic League earns “parts, tools, and upgrades that will give you an edge”, and the runs-based campaign structure means those choices carry consequences between runs. [3][6]
Matt Webster of Fuse Games on the structure: “We’ve drawn real inspiration from runs-based games so the player will have meaningful, consequential decisions.” [6]
